April/May 2008 update
Up next we still have...
Land Equivalents "Alpha Numeric
Routines"
Le Panda Bleme et le Lolicocks "Clack Black"
d'Oorhinge Mandarine, also, still...
Prester "Prester & Friends"
Funny Art Collective feat. Bjørn Svin "Purple Mandarin"
Manipulator Alligator "Harvest Famicom"
We're looking at mid/late May for all of the above.
It'll be strenuous, but awesome. Yet, as a result (welcome to my logic), these might be the last d'Oorhinge CD/CD-R releases of the year. Still planned, however: the sfu·ma·to reissues... As well as the Grubby Records CDR "Fruit and Veg", which is currently being reworked, and will likely end up as an Original Beekeepers album (Grubby Records is Steve from The Orig. Bees/Shammy Leather.) We'll keep you updated on these. (Update: the Original Beekeepers album will likely be titled "Thirteens".)
Furthermore, a pair of vinyl releases may appear (on the... d'Oorhinge Pamplemousse sub-label?!) late in the year, but we're generally going to take it slow, what with me running two other labels and all.

March 2008 update
Up next we have...
Land Equivalents "Alpha Numeric
Routines" and Le Panda Bleme et le Lolicocks "Clack Black". Cinematic, dubby instrumental psych-pop and riot boi lo-fi 'tronica respectively.

d'Oorhinge Mandarine
In late April/early May, the first three 3" CDRs in the d'Oorhinge Mandarine series will be issued (if all goes well.) In addition to the previously mentioned 3" from Prester, Funny Art Collective and Manipulator Alligator will also appear on "mandarin-sized" limited edition discs.

About us and this
Whether you're a band or a fan (or both, or neither), d'Oorhinge
l'Orange Recordings would like to share some info (and 'dogmas',
if you will) with you here.
Corporate
branding:
d'Oorhinge l'Orange only releases CD or CDR albums (no EPs or
singles). According to us, an album is at least 26 minutes in length.
d'Oorhinge Mandarine has been set up to sporadically release shorter EPs (in the 3"
CDR format only.)
All of d'Oorhinge l'Orange's album packaging must measure approximately 12.4 x
14 cm
(aka., the size of a standard jewelcase or digipak.) The first three d'Oorhinge Mandarine releases will be packaged in "mini
DVD" cases (which are about 12.4 cm high and 8.5 cm wide.) Let's see
what'll happen after that...
What's in a
name?
d'Oorhinge l'Orange was, for a short time, Orange Doorhinge - a name
inspired
by a passage in the 1965 film "Ladies & Gentlemen,
Mr. Leonard Cohen". These days, at least two (probably crap)
bands in the world feel they "own" the Orange Doorhinge name,
so... tjaaah. We dig our neue faux-Francais navn anyway (the h
is silent.) Then again, there's both a band and a label named Camera
Obscura, and they seem to be able to coexist peacefully...
An A-Z
shortlist of artists that get our (orange) juices flowing: Agitation Free, Broadcast, Cocteau Twins, Decemberists, Eno, Fennesz,
Galaxie 500, B. Haack, Iron & Wine, Joy Division, Khonnor,
Lothar and the Hand People, Mahogany, New Order, W. Oldham, Pole,
Quickspace, Russian Futurists, Shellac, Tortoise, United States of
America, Visage, S. Walker, XTC, Young Marble Giants, Zephyrs.

Konrad Korabiewski
"Stateless"
DOOR126 - Out now

Polish-born, Danish-based Konrad Korabiewski started experimenting with sound at a young age, and has, for the last 15 years or so (he's 30 now), worked with a plethora of audiovisual-related projects, while also hosting a radio show, DJing at clubs, and remixing such prominent Danish bands as Under Byen and Amstrong.
Stateless, Korabiewski's full length debut, is itself a selection of recordings done between 1998 and 2008. And yet, the resulting album is a surprisingly flawless opus. The album's title signifies Korabiewski's own sense of ”disbelonging”, and, stylistically, Stateless does - rightfully so - combine moody Eastern European lo-fi-meets-hi-fi dance music with Scandinavian idiosyncrasies. Pixie-dust beats, zany synths and warped broadcasts from the Planet Lodz, forming avantgarde electronic pop music pieces for techno-happy melody-fiends and interstellar noise/drone buffs alike.
Ten tracks, including a remix by Schneider TM. Factory pressed enhanced CD in a digipak.

cryptic
scenery
"On the Outskirts"
DOOR122 - Out now

Based in Berlin, cryptic scenery (aka. Christian H. Sötemann) has been
gracing our lives with minimalist soundscapes and ethereal songcraft
since 1994. After two full length albums and numerous EPs and
compilation appearances on BSBTA (2001-2006), we are delighted to have
cryptic scenery on d'Oorhinge l'Orange.
"On the Outskirts" is 54 minutes of intense beauty, terror, melancholy,
minimalism and thrilling
melodies, with eclectic swirls of goth-prog, drone, techno and psychedelic rock, along with the inimitable voice of CHS.
Limited edition factory pressed CD.

Mechanical Bird
"11 Songs For Perchers"
DOOR115 - Out now
Over the course of three years, Jakob Brixen recorded this fantastic
song-based album on his own (with guests adding vocals, piano and
drums) - a somewhat radical departure from what his group Manuskript
did on their classic "Digt
#1" cd-r (BSBTA, 2005).
11 Songs is a unique, warm, enchanting
home recorded folk / singer-songwriter / Americana-inspired album,
lyrically and thematically of a spiritual nature. The experimental
elements in the songs - singing saw, music box, electronics, etc. - are
quirky, yet complementing.
Factory pressed CD in a beautifully handmade / printed digifile-esque
cover with booklet, limited to approx. 275 copies.
