---> Up next: Konrad Korabiewski's debut album, "Stateless"...
---> And, indeed, this page has gone through a mini-revamping. The new design is not perfect(ed) yet, and a few things may still be added or taken away. I am fully aware of all broken links (the newsletter and mp3 pages aren't finished... check back in three hours or three days!) The next couple of months are going to be massively busy on the release front. After this onslaught, it will be necessary to slow things down considerably. Just so you know. But first things first! January 29, 2008 ---> There's a label spotlight/Q&A up at Foxy D. It turned out to be a BSBTA Label Group spotlight, though my answers were based on A Beard of Snails. Elsewhere: I'm exhausted, having lifted heavy objects much of the day. I'll be back with more (while also attempting to catch up on e-mails) ASAP! January 18, 2008 ---> Tidying up: Well, 2008 has, on a personal level, been kind of lame so far, but things are looking up. Hope you've had a good start to your year. I've managed to do a bit of rearranging and redesigning here. Over the next couple of months, The BSBTA Label Group Experience will only be lovelier... December 23, 2007 ---> X-mas = very soon, but... We (d'Oorhinge l'Orange Recordings) just wanted to say that we now have actual copies of the brilliant new cryptic scenery CD, "On the Outskirts" in our possession. And we (BSBTA Boutique) are totally ready to sell you, you, and you, etc. a copy. Two of the album's quieter tracks (musically and moodwise, the album is rather varied, but never incoherent) are on MySpace. I believe the tracks are unmastered versions, but you get the idea... ---> After X-mas/before NYE: A Beard of Snails will be issuing an ultra limited edition double cd-r of two of Claus Haxholm's more drone-y/electro-meditative projects, Dead Black Arms and My Love We Found the Skies. Check back here on December 27th or 28th :-) ---> Hard drive hard times: This past week, I was without a computer, due to the fact that the old BSBTA Label Group Supercomputer suddenly stopped working. Several important audio and artwork files which I didn't get around to backing up reside on the fux0red hard drive. The files can probably be retrieved by professionals, but them thar pros don't come cheap. So anybody who buys anything from us from now until eternity-or-thereabouts, will have a clean conscience knowing exactly what the money will go to: not booze, blow, or biatches, but, simply, the continued existence of A Beard of Snails, d'Oorhinge l'Orange, Workaholics on Holiday! and BSBTA Vinyl. In case I don't get the opportunity to post another update until 2008, I'll wish you a Happy New Year in addition to a Joyous Christmas - now! December 6 & 7, 2007 X-mas = Re-runs! For our "new" fans (and those of you who missed it the first time around), we have reuploaded the 2004 BSBTA MP3 Advent Calendar. Download all 24 tracks free! Also, both of the aforementioned WoH! CD-Rs (see below) are now in stock. November 28, 2007 ---> Pre-orders! We should be ready to ship these fine disques (from the Workaholics on Holiday! label), in early/mid December: The Up Set "Making a Connection With the Ground" and The Dear Elaines "Celebrate the New Season" You can, however, pre-order them now. (Also, have a look at WoH!'s new, slightly redesigned / expanded website...) ---> Re-stocks! Our pals at Tonevendor Distro/Mailorder have returned some unsold BSBTA items, meaning we, once again, have a few - and I mean a few - copies of the "sort-of-long-out-of-print" Jacob Faurholt "Turn the Lights On" and the30es "JugendStyle" CD-R EPs available to you! Get 'em here. Jacob Faurholt has a new full length CD on Quartermain Records, called "Hurrah Hurrah". If you already have the new CD, I'd (naturally) recommend "Turn the Lights On", as well as "The Flowers You Picked". If you have the two BSBTA EPs... yep: check out "Hurrah Hurrah". the30es are also back in action... but that's all I know at the moment. ---> Lastly, I figured we'd better put this graphic here... ![]() ...to remind you (and you) that we have a tiny amount of individual copies left of some of the CD-Rs that were part of the last Subscribers' Series... for sale for cheap. November 4, 2007 BSBTA Boutique: You may enter. November 1 , 2007 New approximate date for the Boutique's re-opening: November 3 or 4. Right now, I'm still a bit too flu-ridden to finish updating the shop site. Have a relaxing weekend, y'all! October 30, 2007 As promised, Kristian Thomsen's book "Tradve" is now available through us. Her er en side fra bogen. Or, actually, it will soon be. The Boutique, you see, is down for maintenance, but we hope to relaunch it by November 1. Sorry for this, but we've had (and still have) a number of urgent behind-the-scenes things to deal with. The "new" Boutique will have a fully integrated PayPal shopping cart, which will make it easier for credit card holders without PayPal accounts to purchase our items. You'll still be able to order stuff from us the "usual" ways. Also, upon our return, we'll have (a very limited amount of) spare copies of some of the Subscribers' Series cd-r releases for sale, in addition to a pair of much-delayed Art is a Joke items! (Happy b'day to Robert P (50 on the 31st), Calvin J (45 on the 1st of November) and, well, me (not quite as old, on the 2nd.) Holy Lo-fi Pop Trinity indeed.) October 22, 2007 ![]() After some delay(s), the split 3" cd-r between Demented Stallion, Casio Explorer and Fra Blokland Til Blokland (all solo projects of BSBTA veteran Kristian Thomsen) titled "Broken Hearts & Broken Minds Meet in the All-White Hospital & They Hug in Secret Silence Ignored by the Outside World" is finally available through us. This was originally meant to be 3S3TA's second last release, and the three-inch only label is planning just one more "three-from-one" release. But now we're suddenly not sure if that will indeed be the end 3S3TA. If this idea evolves, we'll let you know. Oh, and the Boutique will also very soon be stocking a new collection of (Danish language) poetry from Kristian Thomsen as well. (And to clarify, the new President's Heart album is now 100% ready to order.) October 1, 2007 The President's Heart "The End of the World" can now be ordered directly from us. This (first - and only?) edition is limited to 65 copies. Listening to the cd-r today, I really feel that The President's Heart have made (with A Beard of Snails releasing) the ultimate album for autumn. While we're still dealing with a few technical/material glitches, and working hard - sweatshop-style - to assemble the (usual ABoS) packaging, we aim to ship out the first orders (in case there are any) by the end of this week... BSBTA Boutique. September 21, 2007 London! Tonight! We've just received word that sfu·ma·to will be playing a set tonight in London (UK)! Time: 19:00-19:20 (7-7:20 PM). Place: Monto (Water Rats), 328 Gray's Inn Rd., near King's Cross tube. Why not celebrate the first UK sfu·ma·to show (and, for that matter, the first BSBTA-Label-Group-directly-related show in the country)?! Also playing tonight: I am Not Lefthanded, Sons of Albion and Jenny & the Skylights. Plus, it is Leonard Cohen (inventor of the orange doorhinge, as far as I'm concerned)'s 70-something'th birthday today, so I am probably going to have a drink, while listening to the superb new CD by Pulga again... as well. More MySpaceMania A Beard of Snails has had its own MySpace page for a few weeks, and now d'Oorhinge l'Orange and Workaholics on Holiday! have their own profile pages as well. Go ahead and add whichever (if any) label(s) you are a fan of, just for the f*ck of it. I'll add little flash-based audio players (eschewing MySpace-hosted mp3s) to each profile soon. Update on the Workaholics compilation "situation" The project has been put on hold for the time being, but we'll let you know when submissions open again. WoH! are now aiming to put out one huge-time pop compilation (quite likely a triple cd-r) in the first quarter of 2008... September 6, 2007 (Sold) out now: The Organisation of Sound's "Briefest Sketchbook", released via BSBTA Vinyl on a 5" 45 rpm record. ![]() Limited to 12 copies, this title is, not surprisingly, already sold out via BSBTA. Up next: A new 3" from the 3S3TA label. The mini cd-r will, as per tradition, consist of music by three different projects from a single artist - this time, it's Kristian Thomsen and his Demented Stallion, Casio Explorer and Fra Blokland Til Blokland monikers. After that, the final offering from The President's Heart, "The End of the World" (a regular-sized cd-r, on A Beard of Snails), will be unleashed... Preview two songs from said album here. August 29, 2007 A pair of respectful, well written obituaries/eulogies to David: - Geiger.dk (in Danish) - The Dear Elaines' MySpace blog (in English) Also, a number of Neuer tracks (from most of his BSBTA albums and EPs, including a few of my personal favourite songs) have been added to the audio player, to demonstrate just how impressive this man's oeuvre is. Thank you. August 24, 2007 David Neuer 1971-2007 ![]() We are sad to report that one of the old BSBTA label's most prolific (and notorious) artists recently decided to, physically, no longer be a part of this world. He will be missed, but will live on through the music and words many of us have admired him for. Rest in peace, Dave. We had even older news, but we weren't feeling sentimental enough to save it.
