last w.o.h.! news update!
may 1, 2009!

red hott billie weathers
. fake studio musicians, awkward authentic croonin', first takes and hipshakes = the very last workaholics on holiday! release (unless i decide to resurrect the whole damn thing a few years from now. ha.)

there will likely be no more music on the w.o.h.! imprint, but the label that became an umbrella organization for other labels (and spawned w.o.h.!, among others) - yes, i'm referring to bloated sasquatch beer theatre audio - is once again simply a label. w.o.h.!'s 11 releases should from here on out be considered a part of the bloated sasquatch beer theatre audio (extended) discography.

that said, i may or may not start a new indie pop- oriented label later this year, or 2010 or whenever (...if i still feel like being a part of the "underground [or any "ground"] music industry" at all by then.) in case i do, you'll hear about it... somehow... eventually.

pop ain't dead, it's just resting,
christian k.

news! march 31, 2009!

and now, we unleash the power pop of jim musgrave and his "pet bites" (an album that was originally released on jim's loftsong label, but now available in a remastered version avec w.o.h.! logo and a lyric sheet.)

news! february 14, 2009!

as promised, "don't quit your holiday job" is available as of today! i'm really pleased with the result, musically. thank you, participating artists! you will get your copies as soon as possible.

if you (non-participating artists / other indie pop fans) would like to purchase a copy, by all means do :-) you will help me afford postage stamps for the many artists' packages! shopaholics, go here.

we hope to tell you more about the next releases as soon as we're able. there'll be the jim musgrave cd-r... and cd-rs from one or two other dudes who don't record under their own names...

news! february 1, 2009!

important progress is being made with regards to "don't quit your holiday job". it'll be officially released february 14th, a pseudo-holiday if ever there was one! the observant/obsessed among you will notice that the cover art has changed, for various (technical and technicolor) reasons. the double disc's tracklisting can be admired here.

"don't quit..." was actually supposed to be the last workaholics on holiday! release... before we shake off our upbeat / twee / lo-fi / lo-budget shackles, and broaden our pop horizons, "reconstructing / deconstructing" the label for its spring(?) "relaunch". yet, it is still uncertain if the particular releases that were planned to be issued just prior to (if not simultaneously with) "don't quit..." are going to be ready any time soon.

in fact, only jim musgrave's "pet bites" is actually confirmed (for a february release), and will, hence, be w-o-h!'s tenth release. whether or not w-o-h! will release any further releases in its current incarnation remains to be seen. in case we doesn't release 'em, bsbta (resurrected for 2009!) most likely will.

a small handful of releases are already scheduled for w-o-h's next incarnation... but first things first. w-o-h!'s current releases will not be discontinued (though a few are almost sold out through us) and will still be endorsed (enforced?), despite musical differences, once "workaholics v. 2.0" kicks in.

label info

(this is obviously outdated, since bloated sasquatch beer theatre audio is no longer defunct, while the bsbta label group now is, but i'm leaving it up, for posterity)

a cd-r label that releases pop music. we are based in copenhagen, denmark, and part of the bsbta label group.

our now defunct bloated sasquatch beer theatre audio label worked with a slew of great "workaholics on holiday!-friendly" acts, including pants yell!, the diskettes, land of ill earthquakes, de agtige, younolovebunny, ice cream blonde, grumpy bear, the spring colds, the pedestrians pets, the faeries, soda fountain rag, the puddle parade, le man avec le lunettes, the30es, scaredycat, mr60, shaw, lake placid, le futur pompiste...

we're still totally into pop! therefore, this.

corporate branding

(this is obviously outdated, what with no more releases coming out, but i'm leaving it up, for posterity)

our cd-rs are packaged in (approx. 12.2x12.2cm / 5"x5") plastic or cardboard sleeves. back covers all have a small "logo bar" at the bottom.

cover art is be photocopied, inkjet or laser printed, silkscreened, stencilled, stamped or hand drawn, keeping things d.i.y., spending as little money as possible on manufacturing, and hence, keeping our prices as low as possible. the music is the most important thing, but of course, visual presentation is very important to us as well.

typically, cd-rs will be released in editions of anywhere from 30 to 100. in time, workaholics on holiday! may or may not release factory pressed cds, in larger editions.

as opposed to our label group siblings a beard of snails and d'oorhinge l'orange, we release short e.p.s as well as full length albums. (the e.p. format is very indie pop, after all.)
